INSET Packages
School-based INSET packages
Meeting your specific needs and priorities is at the heart of the Primary English Education. Whilst we have a number of standard INSET packages, we always adapt and tailor these to the unique circumstances of your school or setting. Whether you want a whole school INSET day or an after school staff meeting we can create a package that meets your school needs. Some of our most requested packages include:
Designing a book-based curriculum;
Teaching spoken language/oracy in the primary years
Teaching greater depth;
Grammar - using children’s texts to apply grammar;
Grammar - smashing Sentences;
Teaching vocabulary in KS1 and KS2;
Writing – including modelled, shared and guided writing;
Writing – editing and improving children’s writing;
Writing - creating cohesion;
Reading – improving comprehension, and teaching inference and deduction;
Reading - the importance of non-fiction.
TSAs, networks and more
We provide training for Teaching School Alliances across the country. Our training helps TSAs meet their statutory training aims with the peace of mind that the training will be high quality, professional and not detract from the work of SLAs and leading teachers.
Online training
We are able to offer INSET via our own Zoom account or as the host on your own conferencing software. Just contact us for further details.
Conferences
At Primary English we appreciate how much education professionals enjoy getting out of school to learn with colleagues from other settings. From time to time, we’re asked to present at education conferences and of course, we jump at the chance.
Upcoming conferences
Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, all our forthcoming conference appearances have been postponed.

She also likes to turn her hand to technical reading, which she does for Scholastic UK on their splendid Reading Audit and from time to time for Collins education.
