Inspirational quotes from children’s books

Do you ever need to feed your soul? Sometimes I do. I’ve always found books a great way to drip some love into my heart. But I’ve also found that it’s not just whole books. Sometimes a passage, sentence or just a phrase is all it takes to ignite my spirit.

As you know, children’s literature plays an important role in my life. I personally feel you’re never too old for a good children’s book and something I’ve increasingly found is the layers of profundity in so many of the children’s books that I’ve read. In this article, I’ve included just a few of the wise words I’ve found in children’s literature. It’s no use to go back to yesterday because I was a different person then.

I love Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and have curated a growing collection of inspirational quotes from this classic story. Tucked amongst the psychedelic mayhem of the book, there are so many inspirational thoughts. On a personal level, I find this quote deeply profound, and it certainly encourages me to reflect on my personal growth.

Oh don’t they just! This quotation inspires me to let go of tiny things that crowd my heart with negativity. In fact, it reminds me to celebrate the small but beautiful things in life and let them live in my heart instead.

This is a quotation I’ve hung onto many times. The wisdom of learning to sail in a storm is that it prepares you well for what follows. Other storms come and go, but you’re well prepared and can draw on those previous experiences.

It does not do to dwell on dreams and forget to live.

Dreams are wonderful. But when we set our sights on our dreams and forget to enjoy the present, we risk missing out on the joy that’s around us.

If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold it would be a merrier world.

What do you value? Looking at the world around us it’s easy to see that not everyone shares Tolkien’s view.

If you have good thoughts they will shine out of your face like sunbeams and you will always look lovely

If you have good thoughts they will shine out of your face like sunbeams and you will always look lovely.

Who doesn’t find this quote inspirational. And if you know The Twits, you’ll know just what effect ugly thoughts had on them! Keep thinking sunny thoughts, and let that sun shine out of you!
