  • Apostrophes used to show where a letter or letters would be if the word were written in full

  • Expanded noun phrases for description and specification

  • Correct choice and consistent use of present tase and past tense throughout writing

  • Capital letters for names and for the personal pronoun I (revisited from Year 1)
